z/OS Mainframe System Engineer

The role

Within the IT production of a major banking group, you work on IBM z/OS mainframe environments that support business critical applications. You handle system administration and develop operations automation, on long term and technically demanding assignments.

Your responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and evolve z/OS systems and their subsystems
• Automate operations and administration tasks using REXX and JCL
• Prepare and perform installations, upgrades and maintenance (SMP/E)
• Analyse level 3 incidents and optimise system performance
• Apply security and access control rules (RACF)
• Write technical documentation and share best practices with the teams

Your profile

• At least 5 years of experience in z/OS mainframe system engineering
• Strong command of REXX, JCL, TSO/ISPF and SMP/E
• Knowledge of JES2, RACF and ideally CICS, DB2 or Parallel Sysplex
• Rigour, production mindset and a taste for automation
• Fluent French, technical English
