Risk Based Inspection Engineer
The role
We regularly recruit RBI (Risk Based Inspection) Engineers to work with a major Oil & Gas engineering group in Paris. You build facility inspection strategies from the engineering phase onwards, working closely with operations and maintenance teams.
Your responsibilities
- Collect and consolidate project data from equipment lists, mechanical datasheets and line lists.
- Identify deterioration mechanisms and define corrosion loops with the process, HSE and O&M teams.
- Prepare corrosion loop reports and material selection justifications.
- Perform RBI studies in the selected software (Meridium or equivalent) in line with API 580 and API 581.
- Develop inspection plans and ensure the quality and traceability of deliverables.
- Report progress to the project RBI Lead.
Your profile
- At least 8 years of experience in inspection, integrity or corrosion, including proven experience in RBI methodology.
- Proficiency in an RBI software package, ideally Meridium.
- Sound knowledge of EPC engineering documentation, material selection and applicable codes (API 571, API 580, API 581, ASME).
- Rigorous writing skills and a collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional English is essential.
