Lead HVAC Engineer

The role

We regularly recruit Lead HVAC Engineers to work with a major engineering group on large Oil & Gas projects managed from Paris. You are responsible for the HVAC discipline, from design through to vendor bid evaluation.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC technical documents: specifications, design basis, thermal calculation notes, equipment lists, schematic diagrams and tender specifications.
• Define control and regulation principles for HVAC systems.
• Manage interfaces with the process, safety, electrical and architecture disciplines.
• Monitor the discipline's man hours budget, schedule and deliverables.
• Review, clarify and technically evaluate vendor offers.
• Coordinate operating centres and the project's engineering partners.

Your profile

• At least 10 years of experience in HVAC or building services engineering, with significant exposure to the Oil & Gas sector.
• Engineering degree in thermal engineering, energy or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of HVAC standards applicable to industrial facilities and hazardous areas (ASHRAE, ATEX).
• Experience managing an operational team is an asset.
• Fluent English is essential.
