Hydraulic Engineer, Water Treatment

The role

Within a major international environmental services group, you contribute to the design and construction of water treatment plants: drinking water, desalination, municipal and industrial wastewater. You are the hydraulic reference on projects, from preliminary design to commissioning.

Your responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic calculations for treatment lines: head losses, hydraulic profiles, sizing of structures and pipework.
• Analyse transient flows and water hammer phenomena, and define surge protection systems.
• Size and select equipment: pumps, valves, surge vessels, instrumentation.
• Review existing installations and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate and follow engineering studies with other disciplines: process, civil, mechanical, electrical.
• Contribute to R&D activities and to the consolidation of calculation methods.

Your profile

• Engineering degree in hydraulics, fluid mechanics or process engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in hydraulics applied to water treatment.
• Command of hydraulic and transient analysis software (Hammer, Epanet, Flowmaster or equivalent).
• Experience of design and build projects, in France or internationally.
• Professional French and English.
