EIA Engineer (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation), Chemical Plant
The role
For a major industrial group in the chemical sector, you join the projects team of a production site in Normandy. You lead electrical, instrumentation and automation studies and projects, with an electrical or automation focus depending on your background, from design through to commissioning.
Your responsibilities
- Carry out EIA technical studies and produce the related engineering deliverables.
- Electrical focus: size installations, draw single line diagrams, perform calculations with ELEC CALC and select equipment.
- Automation focus: define control system architectures, write functional analyses and specify PLCs and distributed control systems (Yokogawa is a plus).
- Write technical specifications for equipment and works tenders, and follow up technical bid evaluations.
- Supervise site works, testing and commissioning, in compliance with the safety requirements of a classified industrial site.
- Coordinate interfaces with process, maintenance and operations teams.
Your profile
- Degree in electrical engineering, electrotechnics or automation.
- At least 8 years of EIA experience in the process industry: chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, power, metallurgy or fertilisers.
- Hands on background built close to the field, in plants or on industrial projects; experience as an E/I maintenance manager or E/I project engineer is valued.
- Command of ELEC CALC or of PLCs and control systems depending on your focus; knowledge of NF C 15-100, NF C 13-200 and ATEX standards.
- Fluent French, willingness to relocate to Normandy.
